Slow Down...

Its been way to long since I have undated the blog, and way to much has happened to possibly write it all here. If you need more info feel free to call. Anyway, since the last post we have been to Mexico for Thanksgiving, Avery can sit, laugh (sometimes), and roll, Ellie no longer needs a binky, and Jenn is more beautiful than ever. We are getting ready for our wonderful Christmas Vacation, and look forward to seeing many of you for the holidays.

I just wanted to leave you with a quote,"How is Christmas regarded today? And the reminder that life is to short so slow down and enjoy it. Ellie definitely knows how to do it.

Trick-or-Treat...

Well, here they are. Ellie loved trick-or-treating. She got scared a little when a guy at the door was dressed in a really good wolf suit, but other than that she did fine. We happened to be the only trick-or-treaters that the people saw all night, but they loved us. We had international people who took pictures with our kids, people who we accidentally went to twice (I think they gave us more candy the second time), and got way to much candy. Enjoy the pics...

Fall is Here...

Sorry about the last couple of weeks. Two weeks ago I had to present a paper for my class, and last week I was sick. Now we have a lot to catch up on. This week I will give you some of our Halloween pics, and next week I will give you the pics for the girls in their costumes.

A couple of weeks ago we went to a Fall Festival and Ellie found her dream job. At the festival they had a miniature waste management truck. She loved playing with it, but was a little afraid of the horn. It was quite loud. We also bought some malasadas and ate as much free ice cream as we wanted. Ellie had a pretty good time until someone stole our pumpkins. They gave out free pumpkins and I didn't want to carry them around so I put them on a back wall away from the festival. When we came back they were gone. The pumpkin thief struck again.

Lastly, for Halloween I carved a pumpkin (Jenn was putting Avery to sleep).  Ellie was going to be Tinkerbell so I carved Tinkerbell into the pumpkin. Then for the ward Halloween party we had to bring watermelon so I decided to carve Avery into the watermelon. I think it turned out good, but the watermelon rotted super fast.

Our Life at Sea...World

This week things have slowed down at bit, but we still lost quite a few things. Specifically, Mark lost his keys twice and locked his keys in the car. Hopefully this week will be less eventful. So far nothing has been lost.

Since nothing else super eventful has occurred I thought I would leave you with pictures of our life at Sea World. We have had Sea World passes for the last two years, and sadly they expire Nov. 27th. Ellie will be quite sad, but we still have our pass to the Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the pics...

The Little Moments

This week I thought I would share a few bits of our world that give us the real joy in life. These days life is to busy, to fast, to structured, and to complicated. The really joy in life is found in the many small...super small, moments that will just fly by if we are not paying attention. So here are a few bits from our life that we hope will bring a smile to your face.

First, Ellie sent her first e-mail. We rank her right in between Shakespeare and T. S. Eliot. This is what she wrote her daddy.

In other news, Jenn and I lost everything imaginable, but we recovered everything besides Jenn's cell phone. Jenn lost her cell, her keys, her Sea World Pass, and her car. (the losing of the car was my fault). I lost my wallet. You can't replicate the feeling of finding something that you thought was gone forever. The stress just melts away.

Finally, at lunch last week I walked by a music concert. The guy was quite good at singing and playing the guitar, but I couldn't figure out how the guitar was bring played (he had no arms). Once I stared at it long enough I figured out he was playing with his feet!!! Enjoy one of his songs.

We are back...

After a nice summer break, classes are back in session, and so here I am writing the blog. The summer has been widely eventfully with visits from both families, great white sharks, baby Avery, a huge power outage, and a biofluorescent algae bloom.

Baby Avery has conituned to grow, and grow, grow...She just went to the doctor yesterday got a nice shot and was told she weighs around 15 lbs. That is around 10 lbs less than Ellie. She talks to us all the time in an unknown language, and now sleeps through the night. She can also stand if you let her grab on to your fingers. Enjoy the pics.

Ellie has also continued to grow and has found her emotional side. You wouldn't think that someone could get so sad over an empty box of Oatmeal Squares. She has also become quite the dancer. Just put on a good song and watch the magic happen.

Moving on, early in September there was a power outage that cause around 5 million people to lose power for around 10 hours to 2 days. Luckily we were in the 10 hour group, but it was crazy to watch San Diego deal with the emergency. Traffic was outrageous, stores had to throw away tons of frozen goods, and many, many people were seen just wandering the streets. We ended up having a neighborhood party with about 30 people, and then living by candle light for a few hours.

Finally, these last two weeks we have had a huge red algae bloom. The water has turned a dark brown, and amazingly at night the algae gives off a blue florescent glow. It is amazing. It is hard to describe so just enjoy the pictures.

Hello again...

The blog hasn't been updated recently because our editor and chief and primary photographer have been on strike. Contracts have been negotiated and a settlement has been reached. As you can see from the beautiful photography below things have never been better.

In recent news Hotel Moyle has almost been packed solid since May 18th. We have had just about everyone in our families visit us in the last two months. Construction on a new wing is in progress.

We loved the visits and can't wait for their returns.

Also, both Avery and Ellie continue to astound us. Ellie knows around 17 of the letters in the alphabet by sight, and can spell her name in under 3 seconds. Avery has learned to sleep in any position possible, and seems to smile for a moment...maybe.

Finally we hope you enjoy the pictures of the three beautiful women of the household and the picture of the old worn out father.

Room for one more...

Yesterday at 7:34 pm Avery Grace Moyle (Nickname: Ava) was born in La Jolla. She is 7 pounds 6 ounces, and is 20 inches long. All is well with the mother and baby, and we are just happy to have her safe and sound. Enjoy the photos.

These last few days nothing too intense, exciting, or out of this world has happened, so I decided to show you what Ellie sees on a day to day basis. She has fallen in love with our camera and I am going to present her newest portfolio. Enjoy.

Suprise! We went to Mexico!

Mark celebrated his birthday on Friday. For his birthday Jenn told Mark he needed to be done with work by 1pm so she could take him to lunch. Surprisingly they ended up in Mexico. Jenn had rented a place for the night at a famous surf spot on the Baja called KM-38, and it was awesome. While there Mark surfed about 7 hours, we drank virgin Margaritas while over looking the ocean, ate really good fish/shrimp tacos, had a lobster dinner, and didn't even have to meet the cartels/Federales. It was a great trip and to show you we will leave you with a bunch of pictures.
